Builderfinish CEO To Speak at "Tech Tools Rule" Seminar At International Builders Show, Feb. 10

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

CEO of Builderfinish To Speak at "Tech Tools Rule" Seminar At International Builders Show, Feb. 10

(CHICAGO, Ill.) Chicago-based Builderfinish, LLC has been selected as one of six companies to participate in the "Tech Tools Rule" seminar at the tecHOMExpoTM during the International Home Builder's Show in Atlanta, Ga. Builderfinish CEO Howard Weiner will present the company's Web-based, finish-option-selection tool to builders at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 10 in Room 313, in the East Concourse.

Builderfinish is a Web-based service that gives new-home buyers access to a database of more than 8,000 finish products from a multitude of manufacturers. Homebuyers reach Builderfinish through their homebuilder's Web site, and see only those products in the database that the homebuilder wishes to offer.

Builderfinish also will be demonstrating its new application at booth #204 at the International Home Builder's Show, sponsored by the National Association of Homebuilders (NAHB), Feb. 9-12 in Atlanta. The booth will be located in the tecHOMExpoTM, at Georgia World Congress Center.

"We are honored that the International Builders' Show has chosen Builderfinish to be part of its Tech Tools Rule seminar. We believe Builderfinish will help builders establish a quicker, more efficient way of doing business," Weiner said.

"Builderfinish's new link is a service that benefits everyone - the builder, the homebuyer and the manufacturer," said Weiner, a 20-year veteran of the homebuilding industry.

By using Builderfinish, builders reduce staff time, increase option sales, and automate paperwork because Builderfinish integrates with many of the most popular builder back-end accounting programs, Weiner said.He also noted that the service allows contractors, project managers, designers and others involved in the homebuilding process to share consistent information from the same database. As a result, homebuilders will experience fewer change orders, he said.

According to Weiner, buyers benefit from Builderfinish's convenience, personalization and 24/7 access. The link also offers buyers comparison shopping and tracks the money they have spent on upgrades (including a monthly mortgage-payment calculator), and lets buyers see their selections in 3-D.

Manufacturers benefit by putting their products in front of buyers at the point of purchase, Weiner said. Builderfinish also acts as a market research tool for manufacturers by providing information about which products are selling in which regions.

"Builderfinish is a 'private label' service for builders," Weiner said. "This means that the consumer never sees the Builderfinish name, only the builder's name."

The Builderfinish site will contain no advertisements or sponsors and is product- and vendor-impartial. Nothing is sold directly off the site. Features of the site include exclusive 3-D technology that allows buyers to see how their selection will look in a three-dimensional rendering of the actual kitchen in their new home. The technology allows for fast generation of photos, floor plans and room images. The site's back-end integration allows builders to pull information about homebuyer selections into the industry's most popular accounting/project-management software programs.

For consumers, one key feature of Builderfinish is its "Learn More" button, which provides detailed product information. Users can also print out full-size specification sheets of all items selected. According to Weiner, Builderfinish distinguishes itself through the site's user-friendly, intuitive design. For example, when a buyer logs onto the site, he or she can make finish selections without ever using the keyboard, only a mouse.

"Based on the strong sales we have seen so far, we feel Builderfinish is just what the doctor ordered for the marketplace," said Mark Fluent, principal in charge of builder sales.

Established in August 2000, Builderfinish already represents more than 16,000 new homes. For more information, call Builderfinish at (312) 337-5100 or visit the company's Web site at http://www.builderfinish.com/.
